The Board of the Carolina Upstate MSU Alumni Club has initiated the subject project and through the assistance and knowledge of one of our local alumni members working with the SC Department of Transportation we are now in a position to take this project to the next step. Attached is a design for our plate conforming to the requirements of the DOT that is ready for submission. In order to do this the State requires an upfront fee of $6,800 for the commissioning of a new “Specialty” license plate. To make this happen we need your assistance in raising the initial set up fee. For the first 100 individuals that send a check as noted below for $68.00, the first 100 license plates in numeral order will be reserved in the order the checks are received. Once the fee and the paperwork is presented to the DOT it is our understanding that it will take approximately 5 months before the plates are available for purchase. The cost and life of the plate will be the standard for a SC license plate.
