2018 MSU Day of Service

For the 3rd year, we partnered with Trees Greenville to assist with a project. Trees Greenville is a nonprofit organization founded in 2005. Their mission is to plant, promote, and protect trees in Greenville County. This year, we assisted with pruning trees along the Swamp Rabbit Trail. The Swamp Rabbit Trail is a 20.6 mile multi-use greenway system. Opened in 2009, this trail has experienced continual growth and offers fun, non-motorized recreation and transportation opportunities.

While pruning the trees may walkers, bikers, and joggers passed through. It was great to see so many people enjoying the trail and knowing that our work not only helped keep the trail beautiful but also keeps the trees healthy. We even learned some lessons that we can all take home to our own gardens! Thank you to all who came out to help.
